Inter Campus - May 2025

From May 16 to 18, 2025, the government orphanage of Kampong Thom proudly welcomed a new and inspiring sports mission led by Inter Campus –the social project of FC Internazionale Milano that promotes football as a tool for education and social inclusion. This marked the first visit of the year and the fourth since 2023.

Over the course of three days, 72 children aged 5 to 15 including both residents of the orphanage and kids from nearby neighborhoods, took part in playful and engaging sports activities designed to teach the core values of football: respect, teamwork, friendship, and commitment. Through dribbling drills, passing exercises, goal-shooting practice, and friendly matches, the children not only improved their football skills but also enjoyed moments of joy, connection, and shared learning.

This initiative is part of the broader Inter Campus program in Cambodia, which has been active in various provinces since 2011 and, thanks to a partnership with Il Nodo International Cooperation, extended its activities to the Kampong Thom orphanage in 2023. The mission remains the same: to give vulnerable children back their right to play, while offering meaningful educational opportunities through sport.

A heartfelt thank you to Inter Campus for bringing energy, smiles, and hope to our children once again this year—showing, once more, how sport can be a powerful vehicle for personal and social growth. Moreover, we would like to warmly thank the Bruni Foundation for supporting the restoration of the orphanage’s football field fence.
